MY FRIEND’S CURRENT OBSESSION OVER GAMING COMPUTER

My bosom friend Chad and I decided to meet up for a lunch to catch up on each other’s lives.

After all we haven’t seen each other for about six months. We decided on having lunch at a French restaurant as we both love French cuisine. So here I am waiting for him because he was late as usual.

10 minutes has passed and he still has not arrived. I called him in his mobile phone. He said he was on his way.  When he arrived I asked for the reason why he was not able to make it on time for our lunch appointment. He said he had to suddenly run an errand for his mom. But since I’ve known him for a long time already, I knew he was lying when told me that.

I gave him a disbelieving look and in an instant he knew that I was not buying his lame excuse. He had no other choice but to say the truth. He said that he got caught up in his gaming computer. He was late because was so engrossed with the game he was playing in the morning that he lost track of time.

I was surprised with his answer. I am a bit familiar with gaming computers but I never thought my friend will be hooked on this. Chad then narrated to me how he got hooked. The first time he got to play was at a friend’s house. His friend just wanted him to try it. He enjoyed his first try at it. After that he would come over to his friend’s house regularly to play it. He got so wrapped up in playing the game that he had to have his own gaming computer. Ever since he got it, he told me that he had been playing in it every day.
